GOP, K-FED OUSTED

Dag, yo! I leave the country for a week and the place falls apart! The GOP lost the House and the Senate. Uncle Rummy got put out to pasture. And, most importantly, K-Fed is now Fed-Ex. (And I'm not sure which little touch I liked better: Uncle Sal on the Merc's election front page, or Magnum P.I. on the Freep's World Series front page.)

MEANWHILE: A debate is raging on Newsdesigner over whether good newspaper design can lead to higher circulation. Since The Star was one of the few American newspapers to experience circulation growth in the last ABC report, after reading this only one conclusion can be made: The Indianapolis Star has the best design staff in the nation. WE DID IT! Drinks all around!
